While responding to a question asked about ODM party 2022 general elections preparedness, governance expert,Kevin Osido, said that, there is possibility of Raila stepping down to allow Jimmy Wanjigi to be party's presidential candidate. This he argued that,if at all the ODM and Jubilee will merge, the best candidate who stands a chance to be accepted by the two parties will be Jimmy Wanjigi.
"Jimmy Wanjigi stands a chance to be a person ODM will front as their presidential candidate.Chances that he will be the candidate that jubilee will also buy into are quite high", he said.
Jimmy Wanjigi, while speaking last week in an event, said that,he will not allow the ODM nominations to be conducted through the back door.Adding that, the constitution of the ODM party indicates that, every national leader shall be elected by delegates conference.
But the question is,will Raila accept?time will tell.Keeping in mind that,Ali Hassan Joho also,is a member of ODM and annoinced to be in the presidential ballot, who do you think will bethe best?
