Latest Opinion Poll Has Conspicuosly Revealed Who Is Stronger Between Karua and Gachagua

Kenya is gradually striding towards the eagerly awaited August ninth general elections. With presidential contest pitting four Candidates against each other, only two presidential Candidates are perceived to be formidable front-runners.

The above two are presumably Deputy President William Samoei Ruto of United Democratic Alliance party under Kenya Kwańza Alliance and ODM party leader Raila Amolo Odinga of Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Political Party.

DP Ruto is being deputised by Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua while former Cabinet Minister and Narc Kenya party leader Martha Wangari Karua is the running mate to Mr Odinga.

With both hailing from the vote-rich Mount Kenya region, the duo are all optimistic of riding on their deputies' backs to bag majority of the votes from the region and in the country at large.

To gauge on the probable popularity and the political might of these two leading presidential running mates, the Standard News on Monday has reported the findings of an opinion poll on Monday.

According to this latest revelation, 49% of Kenyans believe that Karua will attract more votes for Raila than Rigathi will do for Ruto. 30% believe that Rigathi will deliver more votes to William Samoei Ruto.

This latest development reveals the latest enthusiasm that has been occassioned by the appointment of Martha Karua as Raila's running mate.
