The latest opinion poll from Mizani Africa shows that at the moment, if elections happened in West Pokot County, Lonyangapuo has a support of 52.6 percent against Kachapin of UDA who has a support of 41.7 percent. This clearly confirms that Raila's support in the region remains solid as well.

This just confirms that Azimio have an upper hand over UDA party in West Pokot County. The deputy President William Ruto's efforts to take over the leadership of Pokot has always faced resistance from local leaders who have always gone against William Ruto's political stand.
Kachapin had been Ruto's strongest supporter as Lonyangapuo backs Azimio. This latest opinion poll from Mizani just shows that Ruto's efforts to win in West Pokot might be compromised. Whether Azimio will win the support of West Pokot residents, let's wait and see for it's a fact we clearly live in very interesting times.
Lonyangapuo who is a professor has remained clear that he is the best placed person to change the lives of West Pokot residents. Whether such will remain till the ballot, only time will tell for it's a fact a day in politics such a long time.
