Gathee Wa Njeri whose real name is Lawrence Mwangi is a famous Kikuyu Mugithi artist who commands a huge number of followers on all his social media platforms as well as on his YouTube channel which goes by his stage name Gathee Wa Njeri Official channel.

Now Gathee was elected as a new MCA of Gituri ward which is in Muranga county Kiharo constituency and he and his fellow MCA's from Muranga county have been sworn in. After being sworn in Gathee sent a vital message to his subjects via his Facebook page by saying this;

"If I ever slept on your couch.THANK YOU.if you ever gave me money to eat, THANK YOU. If you ever gave me a ride, THANK YOU. If you ever looked out for me in any type of way, I APPRECIATE YOU!! May God bless you" He wrote

Also, he had another message in which he said this;

"I Hon Gathee Wa Njeri-Mca Gaturi Ward Do solemnly swear that I Shall, diligently Discharge My Duties with fidelity as a Member of the County Assembly and defend the Constitution of Kenya so help me God."
