Director of Youth Affairs, Walter Mong'are aka Nyambane has announced that he will run for the presidency during the 2022 General Elections.
Nyambane, who rose to prominence through the Redykyulass ribs, said his dream of becoming president was fueled by the imitation of former president Daniel Moi in the show. Mongare revealed this during an interview with fellow comedian Daniel Ndambuki aka Churchill, on Sunday, April 25.
"I used to imitate presidents and you know they can imitate something until you believe it will come true one day. My president knows what's going on. " "Elections are coming in 2022 and our president did what he could to his advantage so we are coming to 2022. We are giving Kenyans the opportunity to choose someone else to continue. And this time I do not know who will be president but I cannot put myself out. Dreams come true," he said. Mong'are also explained the reason for not using his artistic name 'Nyambane' after being appointed director of youth affairs. He told the story of Abraham in the bible whose name God changed to bless him.
