Kirinyaga gubernatorial race seems to be intensifying everyday between Governor Ann Waiguru and Kirinyaga Women Representative Hon Purity Ngirici because of their repeated attacks despites being members of UDA party.
Governor Waiguru was today in company of Dp Ruto in Embu County where they were in a mission of hunting votes from the region, it was in this event that Waiguru attacked Principal Secretary of Interior Hon Karanja Kibicho.
In his speech Waiguru urged Kibicho to keep off UDA politics and deliver to kenyans are required. He also told him to remain neutral because he is a public servant who is not supposed to associate himself to any politics.
It is because of this outburst that Purity Ngirici also showed his anger towards Governor Waiguru and attacked her, according to Ngirici, Waiguru should not use a chance of joining UDA as a license to insults to Karanja Kibicho. She also urged Waiguru to respect Karanja Kibicho because it was through his effort that Wang'uru stadium and improvement of road networks came to be.
The pressure between the two Kirinyaga leaders now leaves Dp Ruto in a state of dilemma because of the UDA party ticket, if the nomination is not fairly done Ruto is likely to lose touch in Kirinyaga county.
