Unity is key for any region development. Kirinyanga leaders have decided to bury their differences and work together for the sake of the county development. The leaders have met severally for a unity meeting. All elected leaders from the county have been attending the unity meetings.
Today the leaders will hold a second unity meeting at Gichugu in Kirinyanga county. The second unity meeting will be held at General Kassam stadium in Gichugu. Area residents for Kirinyanga county have flocked in the stadium ready for the unity meeting. This was revealed by Kirinyanga women representative Purity Ngirici on her Facebook page.
This unity meeting are in preparation of this year Mashujaa day celebrations. This national event will be held in the county. National dignitaries will be attending the celebrations led by president Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto. Preparations for the national celebrations are ongoing.
Today's meeting is expected to address various issues affecting the county. Influential leaders from the county are expected to attend the unity meeting. Leaders expected includes Kirinyanga governor Anne Waiguru, interior principal secretary Dr. Karanja Kibicho, Kirinyanga women representative Purity Ngirici, NARC party leader Martha Karua among other elected leaders.
