Kamanda holds the view that Ruto's early campaigns was the key reason why the duo stopped reading from the same page, and have occasionally allowed their anger and differences to play in public.
As quoted by the Nation on Monday, the former Starehe MP added that during the launch of the BBI report at Bomas of Kenya, Uhuru revealed how Ruto played a reverse marathon towards the 2022 presidential race.
“During the launch of the Building Bridges Initiative at the Bomas of Kenya, the President was clear when he accused his deputy of behaving like a relay runner who decided to go back for the baton instead of waiting for it to be delivered,” said Kamanda.
He however took a toll to the Church who are now pushing for Uhuru and Ruto's reconciliation, arguing that the church was nowhere to be seen when the country was going through the 2007 and 2008 post election violence.
