"No Heena Voting" KIEMs Kits Fail To Identify Swahili Women With Heena On Their Fingers, See New Way

The voting process is continuing in most parts of the country. The process as from latest updates it's nearly to 31% percentage of registered voters have already casted their votes.

The process although has been been unsuccessful in most parts of the country due to the failure of KIEMs kit to verify voter details so as to be allowed to vote.

In Lamu Island the situation is same but this is a different scenario because the Swahili women voters who had applied Heena on their fingers the kit rejected to recognize them.

The officials from IEBC although said that they had told them earlier not to apply Heena as this might result to the Kiems kit failure because the Heena interferes with human fingerprint.

"This makes it impossible for the Kiems kit to identify them because the ink used in the Heena interferes with the human fingerprint recognition mechanism of this kit," a clerk said.

Although the officials had to use alternative way by using Alpha numerically process as shown in the picture below.
