New senator for Kakamega county Doctor Boni Khalwale has congratulated Nakuru Senator Tabitha Karanja for being elected as a first time as a senator.
He termed her as a business magnet, mogul and revealed that she once invested a whooping four hundred thousand to sponsor the famous bull fighting event in Kakamega.
" With business magnet, mogul Tabitha Karanja at Parliament today. Sen Tabitha Karanja once sponsored a KSh 400,000/- Bakakamega annual bullfighting extravaganza at Malinya Stadium, " he wrote.
The two are the newly elected senators for their respective counties. Boni Khalwale is elected for the second time after serving Kakamega from 2013-2017. In 2017 he vied for governor but was trounced by Governor Oparanya.
Khalwale was to go for the governor's seat in 2022 on a UDA ticket but was forced to shelve his ambitions for the senate seat after it was decided that Kenya Kwanza sponsors Cleophas Malala for the seat.
Tabitha Karanja on the other hand it's her first time in politics. She has always been in the business world where she is the CEO of Keroche Breweries, a multi-billion alcohol company.
