Ruto spoke this after meeting with spiritual leaders from different churches and mosques from Makueni County at his Karen residence in Nairobi.
According to the DP religious leaders are important to the economic transformation of the country therefore they cannot be ignored in reaching out to every corner of the country.
"Fath leaders are central to the social-economic transformation of Kenya. They are the cornerstone of communities with an extensive reach to every corner of our country," said Ruto.
"With the authority and influence that they have, we are partnering with them to uplift the ordinary people starting from the bottom for enhanced and sustainable development of Kenya," he added.
