Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has opened up about how life has been since he received the crucial office and docket from Dr Fred Matiangi.
The softly-spoken CS has noted that since he resumed duties from his predecessor, it has not been easy for his family, especially for his wife and the children.
He noted that each day of the week, he is supposed to be up by 3:30 am. He revealed that he wakes up that early to receive security briefs from across the country.
He starts receiving the briefs at exactly 4 am, which forces him to be up by 3:30 am to get himself ready for it.
Regardless of waking up that early, he only retires to be when it is past 10 pm.
Fortunately, the CS noted that he has gotten used to it and that his family is also taking the new norm in stride.
"Every day at 3:30 am I must be up so that I can start getting security briefs at 4 am. I can't go to bed if it's not after 10 pm. It has not been easy on me, my wife and my children but they are taking it in stride," the CS is quoted by TV 47.
