Raila to Host a Consultative Peace Meeting Parallel to Jamhuri Celebration on Wednesday at Jacaranda

In response, the Azimio leader Raila Odinga said on Wednesday he will stage a peace consultative meeting with his supporters at jacaranda grounds in Nairobi to avoid violence after the Jamhuri day celebration. He has accused the government of cannibalizing the 4 dissenting inter electoral boundary commission (IEBC) Commissioners.

He said there will be a peace consultative meeting at Kayole Jacaranda grounds in Nairobi on Wednesday, which will be followed by another event parallel to the Jamhuri celebration on december 12th.

Raila odinga's decision to stage the parallel event follows his accusation that the government is cannibalizing the IEBC.

The former Prime Minister will be hosting an event on the grounds of Kayole Jacaranda grounds on Thursday, December 12th.

The event is expected to be hosted by several Azimio bigwigs in the opposition leadership, including Kalonzo musyoka and Martha karua in the Azimio OKA Coalition.

Raila Odinga has previously said that they will discuss the issues with the 4 dissenting IEBC commissioners that have been in a stand-off with his excellency President William ruto over their decision to dismiss all staff members who were appointed by his office.
