Gloves Off as Jimmy Wanjigi Gives Raila Ultimatum Over Party Leadership

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) presidential aspirant has now issued fresh demands to party leader Raila Odinga. The prominent businessman insists that the party has lost direction after Raila chose to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking to residents at a church function in Kathageri, Embu County on Sunday, Wanjigi said the party leadership has been compromised since the handshake between Raila and Uhuru on March 9, 2018.

“This is not ODM. This is the ODM of conmanship that has come in. This conmanship and pride have come in after shaking hands with Uhuru to. Those who have caused the country to crumble economically are now saying that they are supporting my party leader,” said Wanjigi.

He further added that he will be squaring it out with the former Prime Minister to be the party's flagbearer during the primaries. He also insisted that he will accept defeat to Raila if the nominations are done free and fair.
