One of the senior figures who went to the Fairmont Mount Kenya hotel for the cabinet retreat with president Ruto was the deputy president of Kenya. Gachagua made the decision to use his spare morning time to go for a stroll at the base of Mount Kenya.

After being photographed strolling by a stream in Nanyuki, the second in command is currently the subject of an internet discussion. He was seen early in the morning drinking from this spring. Kenyans now refer to him as a clear and simple person as a result of his deeds.
Many find it difficult to understand how he could access the spring while staying in such a lavish hotel.
