President-elect Dr William Ruto has continued to receive congratulatory messages after his victory in the general election.The latest is a message from Russian president Vladimir Putin.Russia issued it's statement through it's Embassy."The Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kenya has the honour to congratulate H.E Dr William Samoei Ruto upon the announcement of him being elected as President of Kenya" part of the statement read.
Russia further stated it's hoping to maintain it's strong relationship with Kenya as the next government takes over.The president elect will however wait longer to be Sworn in as Azimio coalition head to court.The coalition has maintained there were irregularities leading to the announcement of William Ruto as President elect.
However this will not affect the transition not unless Supreme court nullifies the election.Other leaders who sent there messages include US Embassy,President Buhari of Nigeria,President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa,H.E Yoweri Museveni among other leaders.
