Kenyans will cast their votes on August 9 but do not yet know who will be their fifth president. However, preliminary findings indicate that Raila Amollo Odinga or William Samoei Ruto will be the next head of state.
Kenyans are anxious as a result of the IEBC's delayed announcement, but Wafula Chebukati has subsequently told people to calm down because the electoral body has up to seven days to complete the process.
Rigathi Gachagua made a comment regarding the delayed delivery of the presidential results and advised supporters of the two main rival parties, Kenya Kwanza and Azimio party, to calm their nerves by going to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission website and tallying the results themselves. This way, they would get a preview of what to come.
Through his Facebook page, Ruto's running mate blamed the Azimio party agents for delaying the end of the exercise, asserting that if they were to continue working regularly, Kenyans would know the identities of their fifth president and second deputy president by the end of tomorrow, Sunday.
