JUST IN: Chebukati Was To Be Arrested Before Announcing Results, Cherera To Declare Raila President

After the Vice Chair Juliana Cherera disowned what was happening at the Bomas tallying center on August 9, she was meant to announce that Azimio leader Raila Odinga had won the poll and name him the victor of the election. Embakasi East MP Babu Owino claims that former Interior PS Karanja Kibicho, who was among the top officials that facilitated the plan, has changed his mind about Azimio.

Babu Owino stated that there are intentions to have Chebukati imprisoned prior to the results of the election being announced. Despite this, PS Kibicho did not carry out his instructions. This is the primary reason why Cherera was required to abstain from participating in the IEBC Chairperson's decision to name Ruto as the president. According to Babu Owino, Chebukati was not authorized to make the announcement of the results.

The member of parliament recalled how Kibicho had declined to arrest Wafula Chebukati, the chairman of the IEBC, after learning from the Azimio tallying center that Raila would not win the election.

On the other hand, Babu mentioned that Kibicho turned down his request and pleaded with him to quit sowing disorder throughout the nation. Babu is quoted as saying that he has serious doubts about Kibicho allegiance to the Azimio La Umoja and has referred to him as a phony deep state.
