Ruto Tramples on Jubilee as UDA Bags A Big Win

The just concluded Rurii Ward by election results continued to prove the influence of the deputy president William Ruto in the country sending his adversaries back to the drawing board.

The hotly contested elections saw the UDA candidate Francis Muraja Githaiga take the seat home. This comes as a shocker to many politicians especially those in the Jubilee party after their candidate Peter Thinji lost the elections.Among them is Amos Kimunya who had vowed to resign if the Jubilee candidate failed to win the elections. In a video going round online,Kimunya is heard saying that Nyandarua is their home and they shouldn't allow an outsider(probably reffering to Ruto)to come and dictate over the.

“Let us win this Rurii Ward by-election by 99 per cent so that those outsiders (UDA) trying to come here can be taught a lesson. Nyandarua is our home. If we lose in Rurii, I should just resign. How can Jubilee lose this seat in Nyandarua, and I am the Majority Leader?”Kimunya added. The results have come against his expectations and it is yet to be seen if he will carry out his earlier saying.

This comes as jubilations filled the DP's camp with numerous leaders celebrating the win.It has surely been a good week for the Tangatanga team after the BBI fall and now having two win in the recently concluded by elections. Is this a signal that the DP has support all over the country and is in a position to be the country's fifthe president come 2022?
