Analysts Allege Kalonzo's Future As Raila Remains Adamant On Whether He Will Support Or Not.

The former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka has supported azimio la umoja one Kenya alliance party leader Raila Odinga's Presidential bid three times without success.

In the august 9 general election, Kalonzo however wasn't lucky to be given the position of running mate like the two previous attempts.

Nevertheless, he went on to deliver more votes and elected MPs than Martha Karua whose mount Kenya vote-rich region voted for president William Ruto overwhelmingly.

This undoubtedly gives him a headstart ahead of 2027 with his supporters vowing to go all the way with or without the support of Raila Odinga.

However, Raila's silence on whether he will support Kalonzo to take a stab at the presidency is cause for concern.

Now what is the way forward for the 69 year-old Wiper leader?

Political analyst Didymus Mokua has said that Kalonzo Musyoka won't make it by himself because he is only famous in his three political backyard counties.

Speaking to daily nation, the analyst said Kalonzo doesn't have the political killer instinct that is requred for him to penetrate other areas outside Ukambani.

"Kalonzo will face challenges because he has no magnetic appeal outside his traditional base and will need to develop capacity and competence to attract leaders and supporters to his camp. Majority don’t see Kalonzo as a credible presidential candidate because he has not displayed the political killer instinct,” he explained", said the analyst.
