Days after the name of Raila Odinga's daughter Winnie Odinga was nominated by Azimio la Umoja for the position of East African Legislative Assembly post, the Odinga family has come under intense criticism from a section of UDA senators.
This is after Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei described Raila's reign in ODM as a cult and the worst political crime. According to the UDA senator, Raila has over the years, gotten away with political crimes such as nepotism and favoritism.
He wondered why people living with disabilities and hustlers had been left in the nominations that Odinga's daughter was given.
"Tinga is a cult he can easily get away with worst political crimes from his supporters including nepotism, cronyism & favoritism e.g EALA slots he awarded to his daughter, cronies no space for youth, PWDs, nor hustlers in ODM/Azimio-OKA" stated Cherargi
His sentiments were also shared by Kericho county Senator Aaron Cheruiyot, who wondered why Raila has been so lucky to get away with the worst crimes in politics.
Cheruiyot wondered how Kenyans could have reacted if President William Ruto had a brother as a senator, sister as a woman rep and daughter as a representative at the EALA under his UDA party just like Raila Odinga.
