The leaders allied to Deputy president Ruto have condemned the unfortunate incident where youths yesterday stormed and destroyed UDA party office in trans nzoia yesterday. This is a big blow to the Deputy President William Ruto, who has been actually keen on courting the Western Kenya vote. The Abaluhya community, which is largely rallying behind Musalia Mudavadi's ANC party and Moses Wetangula's Ford Kenya, are condemning the western leaders who are supporting Deputy president by registering members from western kenya, instead of uniting together and run for 2022 presidential seat.
UDA party has intensified its grassroot recruitment of party members ahead of 2022 general elections. By the end of april, the party is said to have registered a total of over 8 million members through its online registration platform. The registration has mostly targeted the youths in the country because they are the majority and this has caused an uproar on social media as one way of voting for Deputy president because the system uses personal information like, names, national ID number, phone number, email, and also a photo of the member.
Dr. Bonny khalwale received a major blow from his followers after posting his successful registration as a full member of the party.
