What Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi Has Done That Has Left Many Talking

Kapseret member of parliament Oscar Sudi on Saturday disbursed bursaries worth Sh 40 million. 

Sudi says his aim is to ensure that bright and needy students from poor backgrounds access quality education. 

"Today I have disbursed bursary cheques worth over Sh 40 million for children to continue with education since every child has a right to education no matter his or her financial background," said the Kapseret member of parliament while speaking to the press.

The bursaries were given to students from Secondary Schools,Universities and tertiary institutions from Kapseret constituency.

"I call upon school managers not to send learners home due to delay in payment of fees given the difficult economic times.Under my patronage I will make sure that more funds are availed to support more students studying in various institutions. I thank my able team of Kapseret NG-CDF for fast tracking the process of disbursement," he added. 

He further warned parents against using their children as cash cows saying anyone who will be found will face the full force of the law. 

"I want to warn Sean parents who deny their children their right to education but instead use them as cash cows, such parents will be arrested and charged since I cannot stay mum while the future our children is at stake," said the Kapseret legislator. 

Sudi called on Kenyans to continue following the directives by thr Ministry of Health to prevent further spread of coronavirus.

"Let's continue washing our hands before and after every activity, avoid overcrowded places ,out on facemasks and if possible stay at home to prevent furthet spread of that virus," he advised
