Opinion:Why William Ruto Will be The 5th President of Kenya if Elections Were to be Held Today

Immediately the Jubilee government was reelected in 2017, William Ruto hit the campaign trail to campaign for his 2022 presidential ambitions- a move that strained his relationship with Uhuru Kenyatta.

The DP came up with a clever strategy of attending church Harambees around the country , where he donated huge amounts of cash, something that made him a darling of many Kenyans. Due to his generous giving, more and more churches invited Ruto to their fundraisers and the DP was more than ready to attend.

Ruto used this church services to cleverly campaign for his 2022 presidential bid, this move gave him a head start over other aspirants. In fact, Ruto's generous giving antagonised Raila Odinga , who asked the DP to declare the source of his monies.

The DP went further to come up with another strategy of holding Harambees to small scale business people and boda boda operators- and its during this harambees that the Hustler Nation movement was born.

Due to this genius political maneuvers, Ruto has wowed his way into ordinary Kenyans, and has constantly presented himself as the saviour of struggling ordinary people.

Ruto's main competitor is Raila Odinga, a man who seems to be loosing his popularity after the infamous Handshake. The rumoured coalition of Musalia Mudavadi and his group can not measure up to Ruto.

As it stands, Ruto has the highest probability of being elected the 5th president due to his genius presentation as the saviour of common Mwananchi.
