Despite the dispensary bearing the Rural Electrification Authority's logo on the wall, the facility is in the dark.
The dispensary is located in a very remote area of Ndaragwa Constituency. Ndivai dispensary, built in 2006 has never tasted electricity and the clinical officer living in the staff quarter of the facility is regularly seen charging his phone in the neighbours homes.Services that require electricity are absent in the facility. The area MP Hon. Jeremiah Kioni and the area MCA Hon. Peter Gathungu have been disagreeing on who should electrify the dispensary. According to the MCA the MP is responsible for electricity issues and vice versa to the MP
The chairperson of the managing committee of the dispensary earned himself 3 nights in Karai police station for writting to the Rulal Electrification Authority in query about the situation of the facility.
These electricity lines pass next to the facility's gate to the neighbour's homes.
