The United Democratic Alliance Party has picked up a war with Chief Justice Martha Koome in their attacks on those Cabinet Secretaries engaged in the 2022 political campaigns issuing fresh details.
In a report via the Nation, the United Democratic Alliance Party has claimed that "the election team put together a fortnight ago and attended by Dr. Matiang’i, Mr. Mucheru and Chief Justice Martha Koome would stifle democracy and deny Kenyans an opportunity to freely elect their leaders" posing fear over Deputy President William Ruto's Presidency.
UDA National Chairman Johnson Muthama has informed that the matters of the Cabinet Secretaries being involved in political campaigns should be dealt with failure to which as the UDA they are going to use their means to ensure that they are prepared too.
Among other legislators in DP Ruto's United Democratic Alliance Party who have called for the formation of a new team to help manage elections in the year 2022 are Garissa Town MP Hon Aden Duale, Murang'a Senator Irungu Kang'ata, and Mathira Member of Parliament Hon Rigathi Gachagua.
MP Duale has informed that as those allied to the DP "they would continue to demand a “free, fair, credible and transparent election in 2022” with his Mathira counterpart Rigathi Gachagua informing that y must ensure Cabinet Secretaries Matiang'i and Mucheru are out.
