The elective posts include the Presidential post, Gubernatorial post, the post of Women Representative, Member of Parliament and Member of County Assembly. As we approach the 2022 general elections, many people have already started to make early preparations to either retain or rise to new positions.

In Bomet county, the race to dethrone the incumbent governor Hillary Barchok has been taking the new shape as we approach the 2022 general elections. The race has attracted the likes of the former Bomet county governor Isaac Ruto, the incumbent governor Hillary Barchok, Bomet county Senator Christopher Lagat and Petroleum and Mining CAS John Musonik.

From the current Bomet county political activities, the race to clinch to the county top seat is likely going to be tough among the current governor Hillary Barchok, Isaac Ruto and Senator Christopher Lagat. The above mentioned aspirants have massive support from the county and all of them are capable of winning the race.

The incumbent governor Hillary Barchok has the opportunity of using the county resources to initiate new projects or complete stalled projects to rally support from the people.

On the other hand, the former governor Isaac Ruto has decided to support Deputy President William Ruto who has many followers in the county. Lastly, Senator Christopher Lagat has been a very influential and vocal leader in the Senate and he has been moving around the county to market his agendas in the county. May the best candidate win.
