While drumming support for Bottom-up economic model, the second in command DP Ruto affirmed that president Uhuru Kenyatta's legacy will be highly upheld through bottom-up version that intends to capture the bottlenecking challenges such unaffordable health care services, devastating infrastructure and ailing country's economic status.
"We want to assure the president that the four point Jubilee's agenda will still be trapped in the Bottom-up economic model. Promoting these small scale business enterprises is one of the key plans of resuscitating our economy. Through boosting small scale business owners and local traders, we shall realize the creation of job opportunities for our jobless youths, we shall achieve the nightmare of universal health coverage, we shall improve our infrastructure, we shall realize quality education to our children" DP Ruto said.
However, things went quagmire when he passed the microphone to Laikipia Women Representative Hon Cate Waruguru to address the crowd. A group of rowdy youths who had donned in United Democratic Alliance (UDA) t-shirts attempted to disrupt Waruguru's speech by viciously heckling and booing her as DP Ruto stared in despair.
This quickly served DP Ruto a stern warning indicating that the ground might have shifted and absorbed Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga's Azimio la Umoja.
Barely two months ago, Hon Waruguru dumped president Uhuru Kenyatta's ruling Jubilee party and vowed to seek her political post on Deputy President William Ruto's newly formed United Democratic Alliance (UDA). She noted that the ground (Electorates) had embraced and adopted DP Ruto's bottom-up gospel with undeterred hopes of squaring out their challenges through creation of jobs and bridge the gap between the rich and underprivileged in the society.
