IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati now lands in trouble as fresh details emerge on alleged meetings which he has been avoiding from Raila Odinga's agents. This comes close to about 15 hours now since Wafula Chebukati took himself to be the man of the hour and announced the yearned presidential results. The Election observation group has come out with their results and over what chebukati announced yesterday, there was a small twist in their results.
The president-elect will be sworn in as Kenya's fifth president without the first loser submitting a petition to the nation's highest court if there are more opponents than winners. According to Mr Dennis Itumbi, the main blogger for the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, the security was taken over at the Karen residence of the deputy president, who is now the president-elect.
While giving a reason why he was the only commissioner that was present during the important occasion, the IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati said that some members of his Commission could not make it to the podium because they were injured due to the hostile reactions that were witnessed at Bomas of Kenya yesterday.
