Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), led by Honorable Wafula Chebukati, has addressed claims that they manipulated the presidential election in favor of William Ruto, the nominee of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, on their verified Facebook page.
The IEBC chairman is obviously quite upset at the way his officers are treated while they attempt to carry out their duties in line with the law, as seen by the note that they released on their Facebook page. He cited the returning officer for the Embakasi East seat, who was discovered dead shortly after the announcement of the presidential results.
Second, he has charged that the four IEBC commissioners, under the leadership of vice chair Juliana Cherera, have misled the public about how the commission calculated the final presidential results, which were announced on Monday, August 15, 2022.
In order to promote a run-off election, the four commissioners wanted to force him to moderate the election results, but he refused because their goal was bad for this nation's democracy.
