Deputy president Rigathi Gachagwa has come to the aid of the embattled Meru Governor kawira Mwangaza, who is not in good terms with Members Of County Assembly.
The second in command, was speaking during church service in Embu on Sunday December 4th 2022.
Gachagwa assured Governor Mwangaza that he and President William Ruto will organise a meeting with the county leadership. He said that he and president Ruto will not allow any issues that will stop Meru development.
This came After governor Mwangaza pleaded with president Ruto to help her not to be impeached. Meru MCAS had filed a motion to impeach Governor Kawira Mwangaza but the judge ruled out that there was no enough evidence with what the MCAs submitted. She said that she is praying that God touches president Ruto and uses him to bring peace in Meru County.
President Ruto asked to support Mwangaza, he promised that he will not let her fall. He said he will stand with her but also monitor her.
