Tables Turns as Joho Brother Joins DP Ruto's UDA, Set to Vie For Powerful Position in Mombasa

2022 politics has gathered momentum across the country. Political leaders and other aspirants are currently campaigning vigorously across the country in a bid to popularize themselves to Kenyan voters. The majority of them are also shifting from one political party to another as realignment takes shape.

Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho's brother Mohammed Amir has decamped from the ODM party and joined Deputy President UDA. The vocal politician jumped ship on Monday and was received by former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar.

Mohammed Amir is eying Mombasa Senator seat on a UDA ticket in the upcoming general elections. Taking to his social media platforms, Hassan Omar Hassan confirmed Amir's arrival to the hustler nation, where he was received at Mombasa Hustler Centre, Mombasa County.

In attendance were UDA National Organizing Secretary Hon Karisa Nzai and UDA Mombasa Coordinator Samir Abdallah.

Mohammed Amir previously worked as the Head of Mombasa County Inspectorate. He will now become a key ally of the Deputy President in the coastal region especially Mombasa cou ty where his brother is leaving office next year.
