What Kimunya Said About Mt Kenya Region & 2022 Elections That Should Worry Ruto, Raila And Mudavadi

The leader of Majority in the National Assembly Amos Kimunya has warned top presidential hopefuls against banking their 2022 victory in Mount Kenya Region.

Kimunya how is a firm defender of Jubilee administration stated that things will not be cozy for the aspirants, as the leaders from the vote rich region will be looking for a person who will take in to account their needs, adding that if such a leader is not identified, they will have no choice than fielding their own candidate.

"There is an assumption that our region is not fielding a candidate. Thins will change, because there are still very many variables in the air. As a community, if they don't find a leader who will attend to their interests, and ensure equitable representation, so that 30 per cent of our population translates to 30 per cent of resources, then why not?" said Kimunya in an interview with KTN News.

The Kipipiri MP added that any presidential aspirant will have to tell the region with how many Cabinet Secretaries positions will be allocated to them.

His sentiments comes at a time when Deputy President William Ruto, ODM Leader Raila Odinga and ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi have been making inroads to the region as popularize their presidential ambitions.
