Following the allegations made by Pandora papers on several offshore companies owned by the Kenyatta family, new details have emerged about a prominent United Kingdom Member of Parliament who has rented a Ksh 152M mansion linked to the first family.

According to Pandora's papers allegations and a report released by BBC, the shadowy Panama companies which house the mansion is owned by a company identified as Milrun International Limited.

However, further information reveals that the first family was guided through the process by wealth experts from the Swiss bank's Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) to acquire the property.

Recent information reveals that the mansion was occupied by UK MP Emma Hardy who landed in trouble in August 2021 revealed that she used state money to fund her stay there.

The exposé further showed that she rented the apartment when away from her constituency on parliamentary business and paid a sum of Ksh395,000 (£2,600) per month as rent with the MP noting that she was not aware of any illegal activity before renting the house.

Hardy was elected as Labour MP Kingston upon Hull West and Hessle area in 2017 before subsequent re-election in 2019.
