Evelyn Anite withdrew the ambulance she had donated to Koboko municipality after the person she supported for the seat failed to win Koboko municipality member of parliament after the elections.
The state minister was beaten in the NRM primaries and she decided to throw her weight behind National Resistance Movement party leaning candidate who eventually lost to Dr Charles Ayume.
The loss seem to have angered the state minister Evelyn Anite that she decided to withdraw the ambulance that she had donated to the municipality.
Dr Ayume is a son of former speaker Francis Ayume who died in a road accident in 2004.
In 2021 Anite vied for Youth member of parliament representing Northern Uganda which she won. She beat nine other candidates to clinge the seat.
She successfully defended her seat in 2016. She was named state Minister for investment and privatization in 2016. She was appointed as the state Minister for youth and children in March, 2015.
