Kirinyaga deputy govenor Peter Ndambiri and former governor Joseph Ndathi has proposed Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua to be the running mate of any presidential candidate among the two horses; Orange Democratic Movement party leader Baba Raila Odinga and deputy president William Ruto. The two have defended their choice adding that Martha Karua is not corrupt and she has enough experience to be the deputy president hailing from Kirinyaga county from Mount Kenya region.
The two have seconded the proposal by Chama Cha Kazi party leader Who doubles as Gatundu South member of Parliament Moses Kuria who together with the Mount Kenya Unity Forum fronted Karua to be a running mate. However Karua has maintained her stand that she will be running as Kirinyaga governor next year revealing that no presidential candidate has approached her to be their running mate.
