Breaking the news, Gatundu South member of parliament Hon Moses Kuria revealed that the People's Empowerment Party PEP aspirant's wife had been arrested and was set to be arraigned in court on Tuesday.
Moses Kuria who is an ardent ally of deputy president did not reveals the reason as to why the aspirant wife was arrested.
He was seemingly referring to the deep state as the One's behind the ill motive.
"The cowards have arrested the wife to Hon George Koimburi, PEP Candidate for Juja. She will be arraigned in a Thika court tomorrow. But verily, verily I say unto you. Nothing can stop an idea whose time has come. Tukutane Thika asubuhi" Moses Kuria posted.
Deputy president Dr William Samoei Ruto's UDA party stepped down in favour of PEP candidate in the upcoming Juja by-election.
The DP's camp have in the past cried foul saying their opponents were using state machineries to punish those perceived to be the second in command's supporters.
