The deputy president of Kenya William Ruto on his four day tour to the coastal region has visited Kilifi County today to launch Jubilee development projects.

Kilifi is the home of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) governor Amason Kingi who had earlier announced that he was ditching the ODM party.

While addressing a rally that was live streamed on his Facebook page ,Ruto said that he was nicknamed "Tangatanga" for being a travel and tour man .

"I have come here to say thank you , even though you did not vote for us in large numbers during the last elections ,the little votes we got from here made us to win " said Ruto

Ruto Popularity is going up in the coastal region and this is attributed to the fact that Raila Odinga joined the government through the backdoor but he is not addressing the plight of his supporters who voted for him in larger numbers .

During the Msambweni by-election , William Ruto candidate won on an independent ticket. The ODM Candidate lost in the by election that made Ruto to be seen as the second most popular person in the coast region after Odinga .

Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi was seen in the coast region for the first time when he posed for a photo with Ruto on one of the most beautiful beaches in the coastal region .
