Embakasi East MP Hon Babu Owino has ignited more pressure in the Raila-led Azimio One-Kenya coalition party following his recent announcement. Days ago, he was appointed by Raila Odinga to lead as the Secretary for Science and Technology.

Taking to his social media accounts, Babu has deliberately rejected the appointment, claiming that the process was done without his presence and awareness. He has argued that the only position he wanted in the ODM camp is the Chairmanship of Public Accounts Committee (PAC). Further, he has lamented saying the new position he was appointed to does not literally fit him.
“Can you be given a position in your absence? I already expressed my interest as Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Chairman. That's what I wanted," Hon Babu said.
With such fierce remarks against his boss, Raila Odinga, it may now depict a dark picture of massive differences in Raila camp with respect to the previous defections from the party to President Ruto's Kenya Kwanza camp.
