Nyeri town member of parliament Wambugu Ngunjiri was elected to parliament in 2017 on a Jubilee party ticket. The mp is among the politicians aligned to 'kieleweke' faction which supports president Kenyatta.
The legislator received several reactions to a post he made on Facebook with a picture of himself captioning "Easy...like Sunday afternoon".
Netizens were quick to notice the sandals worn by the politician. The sandals mostly referred to as croaks is common among many citizens as it is readily available in open air markets at very cheap price of one hundred Kenya shillings.
