Today, Deputy President William Ruto revealed who he would name as his political successor in 2032, should he is elected President and serve two terms.
He claims that Senator Kindiki, who is still young, is being mentored for the major political contest taking place in the region.
But even so, he has made it more obvious to the residents of Tharaka Nithi County that Kindiki is too big to serve as their senator or governor because, if things go well, he would have a special position in the Kenya Kwanza government.
"This man has given up the position of being a senator or a governor," DP Ruto said when he first arrived. "Let him go and help me in national politics."
After him and Gachagua, Senator Kindiki is the third most powerful figure in Kenya Kwanza, according to him, making him the next in line as Ruto and Gachagua age.
