Raila Odinga Says He's Not a State Project as Alleged by His Rivals Ahead of August Polls

Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga attended a burial ceremony yesterday in Nyeri county to give a final send off for the late mother of Nyeri deputy governor Hon. Caroline Karugu who died barely two weeks ago.

The burial ceremony was attended by key government leaders such as Nairobi governor Anne Kananu, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) CS Joe Mucheru and Rachel Shebesh.

In the ceremony, politics dominated as government leaders and politicians drummed support for the Azimio leader Raila Odinga saying it's not yet time for deputy president Dr Ruto to become the president.

Addressing the mourners, the former Prime Ministers categorically stated that he is not a state project of president Uhuru Kenyatta as it has been said by the deputy president Dr William Ruto and ANC boss Musalia Mudavadi.

In conclusion, Odinga is expected to tour Murang'a county today to popularize his presidential bid ahead of the August polls.
