“Kwanini Unapeana Watoto” DP Ruto Puts a Mother of Four on the Spot During a Phone Call (Video)

A widow, Mercy Wanjiru, was put on the spot by Deputy President William Ruto as leaders from Ruto’s camp visited her in her Kiambu home.

Kiambu Women Rep Gathoni Wamuchomba made a phone call to Ruto so he can speak to Wanjiru after the DP promised to help build her a house.

Ruto during the phone call asked the mother of four why she allowed her children to go to the orphanage after her husband died this year.

“I found your children at the Children’s Home. Kwanini unapeana watoto? Why did you let your children to go to the orphanage,” asked Ruto.

The widow in response said, “I was not able to take them to school so I was forced to look where they can get education.”

The DP had promised to build a house for her after her daughter, Fridah Njeri impressed Ruto during a church service in Kiambu when she addressed the DP in Kalenjin.

“I want you and Wamuchomba to sit down and agree on how she will help you to get your children back,” said Ruto as the excited woman thanked the DP.

After the phone call, Wamuchomba who revealed Wanjiru is a mother of four said they have made plans to build Njeri’s mother a house after Ruto had promised during the church service to give Sh1 million for the construction.

“You wait for us to agree on what we will do for you on how you will get a house and your children back. We want you to also improve your life as we wait for the deputy president to give Sh10,000 or Sh20,000 for you to start a small business,” said Wamuchomba as Wanjiru said she wants to start a business of selling clothes.
