Celebrations have kicked off across the world including here in Kenya to usher in the year 2023 and to bid goodbye to 2022. The year 2022 was eventful with its own highs and lows and Kenyans are hoping to welcome the new year with style. They have began showing confidence that the 2023 year will be better. Leaders and politicians have now started sending congratulatory message to Kenyans including Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for being patient and tough against the 2022 tides. However, some leaders have made controversial remarks on the year 2022.
Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna has sparked reactions over his statement on the year 2022. Taking to his twitter handle he said that the 2022 year will go down into history as a year where Zambians, Kenyans and Brazilians got rid of tyrant leaders. In his remarks he claimed, "2022 will go down as the year Zambians, Kenyans and Brazilians got rid of their tyrants and General @MigunaMiguna was finally able to return to his motherland after 5 years of forced exile."
The embettled lawyer cum politician also said, "For Kenyan patriots, the most NOTABLE deaths of 2022, were the bodies of innocent citizens that were found floating in River Yala, whose identities have not been disclosed and whose killers still walk free and get drunk on expensive liquor at our expense." However, some Kenyans fired him and told him that he needs to style up.
