Raila Odinga has made a very important and vital move to win the trust of the people of western Kenya. This move will see him automatically gain about 70% of votes from Western region.
Raila has done this by setting aside two very lucrative ministries for the people of western. Kenneth Marende will be the speaker of senate incase Raila wins election. Marende is from Western, and he is a very good leader, during Kibaki's time he really made very crucial decision, hence he is the one who passed the 2010 constitution in the parliament.
Raila also promised the people of western the ministry of treasury, which is also another lucrative seat, and Oparanya will be the one who will be given the task. This is an assurance and inclusion of western Kenya people in the government. For the case of Kenya Kwanza coalition only promised Western Kenya 30% of the government, and that is if Mudavadi and Wetangula bring 70% of votes from Western which is impossible . This is a very calculated move and Raila has already won the western Kenya votes.
