Dr. Miguna Miguna was excited to have made his way back to Kenya on the 20th of October 2022, hours before the national celebrations began at Uhuru Gardens.
He was received by family, friends, and supporters after being away for months. He then attended the Mashujaa day celebrations.
Later, he made his way to Kisumu to honor some of his relatives who were buried while he was away. All along, he has maintained that he is focused on dethroning Raila Odinga as the Nyanza kingpin.
Minutes ago, Miguna told Kenyans that he is interested in pushing for some reforms in the Kenyan constitution. In the tweet quoted by the Canadian-based lawyer, the change in the constitution would introduce a maximum number of times that one would vie for the presidency.
The reform was proposed by Odoyo Owidi who said, "We should change the constitution so that a person can only vie for the presidency a maximum of three times. This will be very popular, it will pass through a referendum without campaigns."
Having been tagged on the post, Dr. Miguna replies by saying, "The only BBI I would support." This is a direct hit at Raila Odinga who has unsuccessfully vied for Presidency five times. If in any case the change is made, he might be unable to vie for the presidency again.
