Busia county governor Sospeter Ojaamong has concealed defeat in Teso South where he was seeking to be elected as the member of parliament. He thanked all the people that had stood with him and congratulated all those that had emerged victorious in various posts.
Sospeter in a long statement on Facebook said that his principals will endure the pain of losing for days to come but their is nothing they can do. He appreciated the support people gave him when he was in power and while he was campaigning.
"The elections are over, but our principles will endure for generations. Thank you to my family, friends, team, and campaigners for your unwavering support during my reign and campaign period. I am inspired and humbled by your support. Your time, energy, resources and prayers will not go unnoticed. It was a great honor to meet and interact with many of you. You all did your best. The work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die. Congratulations to you all in your various victories in this election," he said.
