
It has now emerged that there are plans to award Raila's cronies with lucrative positions after the August polls if all goes well and Raila wins the presidency in the 2022 polls. The details now being reported by the Standard Newspaper which has revealed the positions that are being preserved for the said leaders.

According to the Daily publication, the current Cabinet secretary for Defense Eugene Wamalwa is poised to become the speaker of parliament once it is confirmed that Raila is the next president. This seen as a reward for his efforts to campaign for Raila in the polls leading to the elections.
Also two senior governors serving their last terms are also claimed to be in the beneficiary list, as one is set to become a minister in Raila's administration while the other is set to hold a senior position in the public service. The two are currently with Raila Odinga abroad.
