"Much Love For Jakom" Thousands of Residents Storm 'Heavily Guarded' Kisumu Port to See Raila Off

The former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Monday toured Kisumu County where he engaged the residents at Nyamasaria and Kondele markets as he popularizes his manifesto.

Thousands of the residents managed to follow his motorcade inside the Kisumu Port where his chopper was parked despite the heavy security guards at the ports entrance.

The excited residents were cheering on the ODM chief as the chopper took off.

During his tour, Raila said that he will be focusing in fighting corruption once he takes power next year, further re-affirming his early pledge of giving jobless youths Sh6,000 stipend per month.

"I want to assure you that my idea of tackling extreme poverty through issuing an Sh6,000 stipend will come to pass. I have been in the government before where almost all my agendas have been fulfilled."

Raila urged the residents to register as voters in the ongoing mass exercise stating that, it is the only way he will be sure they will rally behind him.

"The only way you can be my foot soldiers is by registering as voters. That's the only way I will be sure I have soldiers. Register now and be ready to vote" said Raila.
