Kirinyaga Gubernatorial Aspirant Tells Martha Karua's Party To Step Down From The Gubernatorial Race

Rumors of trouble have been announced in Azimio after a Jubilee gubernatorial aspirant in Kirinyaga asked Narc Kenya candidate to step down and allow him to fly the coalition flag.

Charles Kibiru and his running mate Peter Ndambiri told Karua and his party to withdraw from the gubernatorial race in the county and let them run. They asked the party to be satisfied with the big position Martha Karua has been offered by Raila Odinga. Raising a hot debate, the two said that Muriithi Kagai should step down and allow them run since they are assured of top positions in the government if Raila wins.

"We don't have a problem with Narc Kenya party clinching position of the Deputy President, but then they are supposed to let Jubilee fly Kirinyaga county gubernatorial seat under Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance," Ndambiri said in a rally in Kutus town.

Kagai however told off the two by saying that all they look forward to is to help the people of Kirinyaga and not the supremacy of the parties. He vowed not to step down from the race and will be in the ballot come August.
